Hi Graham, the question was more for Thomas O'Brien's drums than mine.
I have been advised by others in the US that metal spraying is illegal.
In the interium Thomas has found some suitable drums.
His wheels are another major project as they all require new solid centres to be fitted and welded as well as other repairs.
Thanks,
Terry

Terry, have you considered pre machining, metal spraying, then internal grinding the drums ?

I received a quote for around $1,000 per drum.
Plan B is being discussed.

Laser Welding Worn Brake Drums was created by Terry Cockerell
Has anybody had any experience with laser welding worn brake drums to build them up for re-machining?
A company here in Australia seems to have some experience with repairing various types of brake drums.
Just need some background information.
