In looking over the updated Transmission Manual the table of contents and the other pages in the front were somehow left out. I have attached them here for anyone who has the updated manual.

Hi George,

You are correct on the bearing numbers. We have been working on updating the bearing numbers, as many of them are outdated. we are also trying to put together a list of th numbers for the seals. Unfortunatly it was not ready for the updated Transmission Manual. We hope to get this out soon.

To clairify your comment on the solenoid lines. The atmosphere and intake manifold lines are reversed. The line to the intake manifold should come off the rear side of the solenoids and the atmosphere (to the air cleaner) comes off the front of the solenoid valves.

Thanks very much for pointing these out!
Jim

The new transmission manual has some errors. P-46 Appendix G , Bearings, shows Rear wheel inner cone 2738, correct to 2788. Kingpin lower cup shows A-6175,. Correct to A-6157.
P56 & 61 The solenoid lines as printed by Auburn Automobile in 1936 - are incorrect. Should be reversed
It is unfortunate that these errors persist in spite of numerous efforts by members to update the book.
