Bill. Your mechanical pump would be driven off the camshaft.
Bill Bicknell in Missouri is a Hand Built Cord specialist plus he rebuilds Cord engines and gearboxes. He would be able to help sort out your problems especially if the pump came from a Hand Built Cord.
Bill's contact details are in the Directory.

Flat top fuel pump was created by wcoye
Greetings from hot and soggy Raleigh. I have a flat top fuel pump on my 36 Westchester. I understand that these pumps were installed on early cars but my car, 2240A, isn't particularly early so I've got to believe the pump came out of a parts bin when the car was assembled. My situation is that this fuel pump has been bypassed and the car runs on an electric pump. I'd like to resurrect my mechanical pump but I don't know anything about it, why it was bypassed and how to get it working again. Is there any specific literature about this thing out there? Any pearls of wisdom?
