The Ross steering box fitted to Auburn cars from mid to late 20's has a one piece sector shaft and peg. The problem is when this peg is worn correct steering adjustment is impossible. Is anyone aware of a supplier of replacement case hardened pegs for these steering boxes that would allow the old peg to be ground off then the sector shaft flange drilled and a new peg fitted (similar to military jeep Ross steering). The attached photos show typical wear found on this type of steering box. The diameter of the peg at the small end is 0.437" large end 0.570" and it extends 0.375". Any advice appreciated.
