Mike, what a good idea. Sadly, the original owner data is probably too far back but the name was Schilling, a son I believe of August Schilling who founded a large food importer.
Here is a question that relates to something a bit more recent. Does anyone remember a Speedster body shell sitting in storage at Harrah's in Reno during the late'60s and early '70s? They had one fully restored on display, and this other one in the back. I am interested in how Harrah's obtained the stored car.
Are there any Auburn factory and/or registration records left? I expect not. I have an owner's name and California license plate from 1935, and would like to look up registration details for the car. California purges records regularly so no luck there.
