We will also not post pictures on this site any more. My wife reorganized her photos on photo bucket and all our photos from our trips we posted on this site were errased.

The new caps are very faithful copies of the originals. The only significant difference that I can see is the original is a two-piece cap and the new one is one-piece. I'm not computer-savvy enough to be able to post pictures here, but I took some photos of one original alongside the new cap and there is no significant difference in the profile. Detail in the center looks as good as the original. If you want to see the photos I can e-mail them to you.

I am sorry Pat, I do not post pictures on this web site. When I am able to upload pictures directly to the site, I will do so. Until then please email me and I will send you what ever pictures you need for the restoration of 34-36 Auburns.

Very soon Auburns Midwest will have a interactive website, with hundreds of detailed pictures.

Do those reproductions look pretty close to the original ones?

Complicated discussion on how center was done - though only color paint on a hubcap should be black. Curt should have valuable advice.

35 Auburn hubcaps was created by jonlee
I just got in a new set of hubcaps for a friend's '35 Auburn, repro's from Walter Pfeiffer. They look quite nice so I thought I'd paint the centers before putting them on. When I started looking to see what might be correct I found every combination possible from nothing at all to body color. The most common color schemes, after nothing, are combinations of red and black around the "8" and "Auburn".
Does anyone know for certain if they should be painted at all, and if they are, in what combination?
Thanks,
Jon Lee
