Henry Portz told me that many car problems are caused by the owner and I can personally attest to that!

Hi,
Sometimes car problems just seem to escalate all by themselves. One of the first lessons my dad-the-mechanical-engineer taught me about equipment malfunctions was to ask, "What changed?" Manys the time that that simple question put me back on course.
Your wife did well to send you down that path.

I took my wife's advice and undid the wiring changes I made yesterday

Thought that many times myself. Higher education is a wonderful thing, but I too wish I'd taken some shop courses. After all these years I'm fairly handy now, but perhaps I'd not have had to learn so much the hard way.

After laying awake half the night, I took my wife's advice and undid the wiring changes I made yesterday (hooking up the fog lights) and of course everything started working again. (sigh...).

So. I had everything running. Went through 3 tanks of gas. I was pulling the wires up out of the way under the dash and bango, something quit. Startex quit, headlights won't come on, dash lights either. Dome light comes on, fogs work (not wire to dash), IGN function just turns over, seems like no spark. Has any body ever had this happen before?
Car has been running great until tonight.
Thanks,
