The more you satisfy the Judges, the more your car is worth when it goes up for sale.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Sadly our new web site deleted all our private messaging ability. Many are NOT HAPPY about it too. Heres the problem. See my sign on name.... Now try to "FIND" me in the directory..... You can't even if you had a directory.. But because I am now singing off with my actual first n last name anyone with a directory can get my email account information or cell phone number. I have been told there is someone working on fixing this overlooked new web site glitch. But we are all Volunteering our time here......

Thanks for the reply, Pete.
After reading too fast and not realizing you were showing me a 6 lug wheel from a '27 model, I thought it best to keep my mouth shut till I got it all here in the shop.
Its here now and I've got a little more info at hand.

Pete, I'm not a club member and can't figure out how to message you through this forum.    If you'd be so kind as to email me, I'd appreciate a chat and possibly buy some parts from you if you have them.
My email is my user name @ gmail.com

I don't even have the chassis here at my shop yet so I'm only going by photos, but it seems the earlier 25,26,27 cars have a tapered shaft with a single woodruff key and a threaded knockoff cap.
The later ones like this 6 lug would be the easy way. :)

Any thoughts on the wood style wheel hub?
Pete, A few folks have mentioned that I should talk to you since you're the guy who knows the early cars. Thanks for the reply. I'm sure we'll talk soon.

Here are a couple pics of wheels used on '27 Auburn.

I do NOT know where to find any but this is the place to ask.
If Randy Ema would tell us the options that would be great.

Good afternoon, everyone.
Searching the brain trust here to learn more about wheel options for a 1925,26,27 model 8-88.  Were wood wheels the only available choice or does anyone make a tall skinny wire wheel for the early cars?
As you probably gathered, this is not a restoration but a cobbled together build. No need for something that satisfies judges, just looking for thoughts on a stronger wheel and possibly any feedback on early car hubs/axle strength

Thanks for whatever you have to offer!
John
