Thanks for the information John. I do have some of those ads but have not gone thru them in detail yet. I also have the ownership thread before Clay. It's an interesting car and an interesting history to go with it.

The Stevens was restored by Clay Cook (Clay died a couple of years ago). Clay owned a restoration shop in Northern Kentucky (and was well versed in doing high point cars). Not sure the story of how the car came into Clay's shop[, though it was really the only car I knew Clay to own. I saw the car prior and during restoration and it was a pretty exceptional original automobile. If you can find it the advertisement, the car was in I want to say Hemmings prior to its restoration or possibly Old Cars weekly, Cars & Parts, or AACA).

Hi Mike,
I couldn't get the ACD Factory folks to return my calls so I contacted Jim with Jade MFG. and he was quite helpful and is taking care of me. Thanks so much for the information.
I took delivery yesterday of the '13 Stevens from Hyman and I am quite happy with it. Was this in fact your car? If so you did a spectacular job of modifications and maintenance. Be careful before answering as I might end up with questions!

No luck on the spring although I did buy the Stevens.
Any ideas where I could find specs on that spring so I could have it made? Jade mfg. was recommended and I have reached out to them and am waiting for an answer.

This a blue green color that Mark Hyman has on consignment. It originally came from CA. If this is your car, what are the odds??? If it is maybe we should talk but in any event I won't try to cut Mark out.

Thanks so much. acd factory is looking for one in their inventory today!
I think you have me confused with another Duke; my father was never involved and I have not attended any Hoosier tours to date. I however, have recently looked at two different '13 Stevens Duryea's to purchase, one I lost out on at auction and the other is owned by Mark Hyman and seems too high to me but I have made an offer. I want a nice tour car for HCCA. Are you aware of any others on the market. I prefer a large touring car.
Thanks again for you help with the valve spring.

Hi George, I have found memories of you and your Dad on the Hoosier Tours. I used a place called Jade Mfg. Inc. in Romulus, MI. to make valve springs for my 1913 Stevens Duryea. I gave them the old springs and they could determine the specs. etc. I would suggest replacing all the springs. If one broke the others might not be far behind and making 24 springs and not just one probably will not be that much more expensive even if you don't replace them all now. Jade's web site is
www.jademfg.com
and phone is 734-942-1462. Will we get to see you at The Auburn reunion this year? You might also try
www.acdfactory.com
phone 918-251-3161. They may still have some orig. factory springs.

I recently broke a valve spring on my '32 160-A. Is it OK to replace just the one spring? Where might I find specs on this spring so I know a new one is correct? Lastly, what is a good source for these. Any help will be much appreciated.
