I use locktite 242 with primer on the screws and locktite 515 with primer as a gasket sealer. 515 will seal deviations in the gasket surface up to .050 if you use the primer. If you use SS screws you need to for sure use the primer.

Having trouble with leaks around my water jacket side cover. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what is the best type of gasket seal to use or how to remedy this? I have torqued the screws and used permatex high temperature thread sealant on the screw holes with the copper/fiber core washers and permatex aviation "form-a-gasket" on the gasket.
