#8 finish washer/ raised recess dimple dies for running board trim moulding

Try searching "punch dies". A quick Google search came up with 1/4"

McMaster Carr has some dimple dies, but the smallest is 1/2 inch hole. A #8 screw is a much smaller hole. I do not know another term for a dimple die. If you search “dies” you get thread dies.

Not sure what exactly you are looking for but McMaster-Carr has lots of stuff like that. The trick is to know the proper description.

I am familiar with Restoration Supply. They sell running board trim and #8 finish washers. These would be close to the original design. But if possible I would like to press the raised recess into the trim as the orginal. I have not seen any dimple dies in their latest catalog. Do they have items not listed, or have I missed them somehow.

I am trying to redo the running boards on my car and am having a hard time finding a #8 finish washer or sometimes called a raised recess dimple dies for the running board trim molding. I can find #10 ones but not #8, unless i buy a whole set. I only need to do 26 holes so do not want to spend a fortune on a set. Anyone have one or know where I can get one?
