Incidentally, using one double-row New Departure ball bearing turned out to be a poor idea. New Departure tried it again in the 1966 Toronado, using a bearing that was so big that you could nearly put the Cord bearing inside it. Still no good. Olds switched to a pair of Timken tapered roller bearings for 1967. (That's what the Richardson conversion does.)

This is a trade mag cover of the new fangled 1936 Auburn car with inboard headlamps that was providing parts from local industry. The scan is of low quality for IP usage, under120k image but here it is anyway.
