And it's a Custom, no less. Very nice.

I'm not a big whitewall fan so I was hopeful to hear that perhaps some cords did not come with them from the factory.

There is a supercharged Beverly that has been for sale for the last month or two. I'm a little surprised that Jay didn't hold out for a blown car but it seems that this one is a great driver. Getting a Cord sorted is not a trivial exercise.

Because it's non-original that way. I like authenticity. Cords look beautiful with or without them. It's very difficult to make a Cord ugly.

"Back-to-the-factory" was just a term I've heard used to describe cars restored with blackwalls. I wasn't saying that the Cord was originally equipped with them. Sorry for the confusion.

How many factory-supercharged Westchesters still exist? I've heard that they are extremely rare.

You don't like the pipes Chris? Or is it because it's non-original that way. Also, I thought all Cords got whitewalls from the factory, no?

This was a great video...I was waiting all week for him to post it. Jay leno's garage teases you all week by telling you what is coming up. I was so sad when at 7am the video wasn't up...then, at 8am, the video still wasn't up...9am...not up...finally, I had to come back to the computer in the afternoon. The video was finally up, and well worth it.

CORD 812 WESTCHESTER VIDEO - JAY LENO was created by Picture Gallery
From Jay Leno's Garage Series.

This is a very interesting piece on the 1937 Cord 812 Westchester.
He even mentions the ACD Festival and the ACD Club near the very end of the video.

About 16 minutes long and very entertaining. Just click on the picture below to start the video.

Hmmmm ... So THAT's what a Cord sounds like!
