The car was at Amelia Island this year, shown by the dealer.

I like this Duesy with the top up as well as with it down, But with the reflection you can see both at the same time.

Pardon the quick and dirty modification, but this gives you an idea of what this car is like with the top down.

While I still think it's a bit ungainly with the top up, I expect that the workmanship is first rate. To me, even as a rebody after the era, so to speak, it still has something of a pedigree, being mostly Maurice Schwartz' work.

I think i saw this car when Jerry Moore had it, he displayed it at a early
90s Houston Autorama. Top down, windows down, absolutely stunning.
Ive never seen black paint that looked so deep. I can tell all that it realy
blew my skirt up. I think its the same car, he got it from Harrahs.

It looks better with the top up than J-508, the Fishtail Speedster on which it was based.

On the other hand, I've always been among the very, very few who think that the proportions of J-508 were a bit wonky, mostly do to the LWB. The SWB used for J-507 put everything where it should have been.

Some cars actually look as good or better with the top UP. Mercedes 540k/500k come to mind. The Cord 810/812 coupes look pretty good with the top as do the same era Auburn Speedsters.

I think this one actually looks o.k. with the top up.

I just sorted all 62,571 vehicles listed on eBay by price and this is the most expensive one. By a WIDE margin!

I assume all of them have replicas unless told otherwise. It's usually a safe bet. :D By factory-supercharged I mean that the chassis was originally supercharged by the factory, which is what I've read or been told in most cases regarding this car.

In the case of J-507, I've never been told one way or another if the blower is a replica or original. I'm guessing from Randy's comment that at least at one point it was a replica and may STILL be a replica.

Sorry if the wording was misleading. I should work for an auction company! :D

A genuine factory-supercharged chassis (J-507) with a body built by Maurice Schwartz and Harrah's Automobile Collection in the late 1950s. The original body, a Derham Convertible Sedan, is now on the car owned by Keith Brown in Indiana.

The consignor is a California dealer known for great cars at ridiculous prices. They had been asking $3 million and not getting it, so I guess they cut the price to a "mere" $2.6 million. IMHO it's a $2 million car on its best day.
