Darrin's Packard Victoria's were indeed rebodied in one of Auburn's Connersville buildings. They didn't come down a "line", though. They were pretty much built in place, one at a time.

Cord assembly line was created by balinwire
When the Cord assembly line shut down, was the Connersville assembly line used to build other cars, I remember hearing that Dutch Darrin used the same line for his exotic Packards.
