No this is a standard mono block and I was in error, this motor is stamped with a GS not a GT.
The first Lycomming motor was a 4 cyl. with separate cylinders cast in pairs mounted to an aluminum crankcase for Velie. Our company machined 6 of these crank cases for a Velie restorer in Nebraska. These were very advanced motors for Lycolmmings first production featuring roller lifters.

I presume the cylinders and crankcase are two separate pieces and you are looking for the cylinders, is that correct?

It is for 1928 Elcar made in Elkart, IN.. The basic block may be the same as a non GT that may have been in some Auburn's with the smaller 8. They were used in Gardners, Velie and many others.

What king of car is this GT engine used in ? It isn't in an Auburn that I am familiar with.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

The motor is 247 cu. in 8 with 90hp. I understand Lycolming made them for Auburn and many other makes. The standard is 70HP and the 90 uses a dual throat Schebler with a swan dual intake. Valves are at an angle to the piston bores to make the combustion area smaller.
