I know this is a long shot, but would your Scheduler S3 SV154 carby still be available? I'm desperately searching for one of these...

Replied by Al Light on topic Lycoming MD Engine
The Lycoming MD Engine was used in the 1928 Auburn 115, the 1930 Auburn 120, and the 1930 Auburn 125. The engine is the same for all these cars in regards to displacement and the rating is 115 at 3300 rpm. During the 30's it was common practice to change the car model without any basic engine change. This may have caused confusion but it is believed that it sold more new cars.
Prior to my retirement as V. P. of Engineering at Lycoming I was able to find a four page specification for the Model MD engine which includes the power curve and other other specs. If you would like a copy of this specification I can email as an attachment or forward copy by snail mail.
See ACD directory for my address.
CORDially Al Light

Sir: Did you ever get your carburetor adjusted so that it would run like it should?
I can send you a copy of the sheets on how to adjust this carburetor that I have in my literature. Don of Indiana

John-
The bore is the same 115-120-125 (3 1/4") only the L-29 had the larger (3 3/8") bore at engine no. FF4444.

Who Can Help me?
My engine No. is MD33697A (Engine Block) Cylinder Heaad No. 4H110 10A C18 Distributor No. 657 LN. How can I identify if this motor is a 125 or a 120 without removing the head and measuring the cylinder bores? The carb on this motor is a Schebler diecast bowl Model S 1 1/4inch Duplex. I cannot get the car to accelerate above 20mph without starving of fuel. Perhaps the carb is incorrect. From research it appears I should have the UX51 1 1/2inch or an SX418. If my carb is incorrect where can I procure the correct carb together with a head gasket and the 3 inlet exhaust gaskets? I am desperate to get this car going. I have in my possession One Schebler S 1 1/4inch vent SV2 and one Schebler S3 SV154 one and thirteen sixteenths carbureters. Would anyone be interested in these? Many thanks in anticipation,
Cordially yours,
John Darragh
