I am not sure what that cowl is from <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt="" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->
At least the 'tail' end was made from metal and not fiberglass...
The styling.....well...
Good luck with your project!

Hello. By photos the car appears to be a 1933 8-105 chassis .This car has a original rear mounted spare bumper on it so it originaly did not have a speedster body on it. It was most likely a sedan . By photos there does appear to be a home made body with extra gas tanks for touring the outback. R

Are you certain that the extra tanks are not just for fuel? Typically cars that "ran shine" were boring non descript cars that ran and handled well,and had easy to unload storage areas (hidden or not) where the product in quarts or gallons could be moved.

History on 1932 auburn needed was created by
this is my first time using the forum ,so hope I get it right. I'm trying to find information on a 1932 auburn speedster 8100? . Bought out to Australia in the early 90s . Came from braunfel Texas .engine number is gc232. The interesting thing with this car is it still has tanks in the back that we have been told was for running moonshine in the day. Would like any help on the history of its past. Was unable to load photos off the car as the photo size must be to big and I can't seem to down size them . Would be happy to try and email them to any one that could help. My email if it would be easier is <a href="mailto:] .hope that is aloud . The car is getting close to being started on a complete restoration so any info would be appreciated . Dave
To the best of our noliage it is the original body . It was custom built for that car apparently
