I Remember being at old A K Miller's estate car auction.
The unrestored cars were selling at 2-3 X their normal market value at the time.
Some unrestored cars brought much more than restored prices !

Prices were insane !

There was a similar IRS Rolls~Royce auction a number of years ago where several rare & great newly restored Silver Ghosts & Phantoms went for only a third of the then current market prices.
You needed $20K cash or certified check to get a bidders number !

Anything can happen at an auction~~~
And often does !

The auction description sounds intriguing.

"drive train rebuilt by Henry Portz, majority of parts for this vehicle have been restored and ready for final assembly"

I'd want to see a complete list (and photos) of the parts that are included in the auction before I placed my bid !

Yeah, I probably should have phrased "incredible bargains' as "low prices." :D

Sometimes it goes the other way too. No reserve estate sales bring crazy money sometimes. In this case, there could be a bargain or two if the cars are disassembled and you can't talk to the guy that did the disassembling. Partially finished restorations are usually never good deals however :D

These were owned by Shawn Merriman, Colorado's own version of Bernie Madoff. Several Club members were unfortunate enough to be among his clients.

It will be interesting to see what they bring. Fire sales sometimes result in incredible bargains.
