Cold Garage....

Mine - Don't know the temp, but being locked in there on the coldest day this winter at 8:30 pm makes mine the coldest. arcor was in there for at least 1/2 hour. 15 of it, arcor didn't know arcor locked in there.

the garage door didn't open, so arcor decided to check it out to make sure garage isn't going to fall down on 66 galaxie. managed to get the garage open little bit. got a work light and grabbed a phone and went inside (no outside door and not attached to house). once inside, noticed the main bar didn't look correct, so arcor closed door for further investigation. then arcor couldn't get door back open.

called brother, whom at the time was cleaning kitchen. hey, can you help brother out? "sure, what you need?" Locked in my garage and he laughed at me. took him twenty minutes to get there, only live 5 min away.

by the time he got there, arcor managed to stick pin back in top and open garage a little bit, but it wouldn't stay, so if arcor go through, arcor get smashed. while waiting, the phone rang. arcor lost phone, under tarp under snow blower? talked for about 10 minutes. brother arrived and helped little brother fix the door and not get smashed.

come to auburn and arcor show you garage.

ummm.... arcor was told my mother that it was about 8 outside. arcor garage colder than anyone's garage, arcor know for fact. but then again the garage is just a garage (little 1 car garage).

<!-- s:twisted: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_twisted.gif" alt="" title="Twisted Evil" /><!-- s:twisted: --> Appears that top 3 coldest reported garages award goes to State of Michigan members, with PA and Maine right up there. Upstate NY and Idaho members apparently unable to locate their garages due to snow depth or they're too busy skiing, snowshoeing or sled dog racing.

Well I can say for sure that it was not as cold inside as it was outside, inside I turn the heat down to 50 at night, but before I go to breakfast in the morning I always go to the shop and turn it back up, so that after breakfast it ready to work, Monday Feb. 16th it was 12 below F and warmed up to 10, Tuesday the 17 below and warmed up to 10,Wednesday it was 4 below and warm up to 20, and felt like a heat wave. We have had almost no snow this year. I have no more than 3 inches on the lawn right now.
Ken PS it was 35 today.

I was in upstate NY last week, they are having trouble finding their garages in all the snow.

Those are some pretty cold garages! C'mon, there's got to be somebody in upstate N.Y. or Idaho who can top these? And actually going out to work on the car in these temps. has to rate extra points, doesn't anybody else wrap their wrenches with duct tape to keep them from stinging or open the garage door when it gets warm (above 15 deg.F.) to let the heat in? :P

It was -10 degrees in the Flint area this AM and was 8 degrees aboer zero in my work garage when I went out to start working on the supercharger for the Cord. Needless to say, I did turn the furnace on a got the temperature up to where it was bearable. Maybe we could all be like Stan and have heated garages!

"Coldest Garage" judging begins today, running 1 week, of course somebody in N. Dakota will probably walk away with the honors, but maybe we can consider points on a state-by-state basis.

Got 10 deg.F.
