Mr. Huffman~
Thank you for your response to my questions. Yes, I am an expert on what John Dillinger didn't do~
John Dillinger was not in your garage working on your Auburn Boat-tailed speedster repli-car!
However, it is possible that he was in my garage admiring my Harley!(Who wouldn't?)

All in good fun~

Dear Mandy, Why don't you do a paper on panheads. You wouldn't have to do any research. I hear you are a expert at what Dillinger Didn't do!

Mandy You might try Chicago main library and see if the are on line with any business directorys.Next you might see if the Chicago museum of Science and Industry for the same thing also( whos who) in Chicago .Last you might check the Chicago Tribune on line or in your school holdings for 1930s auto sections . Good luck Randy Ema

Greetings ACD people!
I am an IPFW University student working on my research paper for History. I have acquired three addresses for the Chicago area, that used to be car lots of some sort. I don't know if they were dealerships, or used car lots, or just mechanic shops. If anyone can help me identify what kind of businesses these were in the early 1930s, I would be very greatful.
The addresses are:

Oakley Auto Construction
2300 West Division
Chicago
*At the corner of Division and Oakley Avenue
*Multi-level garage with auto elevator
*Owned by Clarence Leider

Bergyl Motor Sales
2346 West Cermak Road
Chicago
*22nd Street
*Owned by Joe Bergyl
*Bergyl is credited with creating the 'Auto smokescreen generator'
-This device squirts motor oil into the exhaust manifold to produce white smoke.

No name given
3034 Lawrence Avenue
Chicago
*known to repair Essex autos

My name is Mandy Parker, Ray and Karen's daughter, and I would really like to pass history! Thank You!
