Thanks Steve,
The reason for asking is that I have a so-called 8-63 chassis and engine. The measurement between centre of front to centre of rear is 125" as best I can measure it. According to Don Butler's book the wheelbase measurement of the 8-63 was "....124 inch wheelbase used by the abandoned 6-63..." (P. 140). It appears then that I have been misled with the chassis??

Hello Bruce:
Wheelbase is measured hub center to hub center.
Regards,
Steve

Excuse my ignorance in this matter but is the term "wheelbase" the measurement between the centre-line of front hub to centre-line of rear hub? and
Is this term interchangeable with "chassis length"??
