Does anyone know what happened to the Long Island Automotive Museum?

They released a series of classic car prints, among them one of my favorites shown below. Notice how stretched out the Convertible Coupe is.

Who is that girl in the Cabriolet next to the dapper Brad Waken?

Mark,

I know you are just testing me! The photo is a Cabriolet. Phaeton's have a back seat. You can see the top lid behind the passengers which identifies it as a Convertible Coupe, Cabriolet, or Sportsman.

[i:276lgb8w](Don't ever let Josh Malks hear you referring to this car as a Sportsman. He can give you the specifics on why this is a no-no.)[/i:276lgb8w]

I have seen this photo for nigh on fifty years and never noticed that they used the front end of the one Custom Cabriolet --- Al Sikora's 2005 Buehrig Award winner at Auburn. Look at the transmission cover and the forward slope of the grille!

Was Al's cigarette creme like this one? I think you may be reading too much in to the drawing. The forward slope is barely there and may just be an incorrect rendering.

Also the JPEG may have washed out the detail in the transmission cover.

I just picked up another original of this drawing on eBay and I will look at it more closely.

Not suggesting this was drawn from Al's car. His has no pipes, and the higher sills on his are very visible. Just wondering if they saw a photo and copied it. (Or maybe just a lousy jpeg :-))
