Certification question

Pete, We have never found records from the factory detailing the build configuration when the car left the factory. So in short we have no idea what color the car was originally unless it was reported by a previous owner. 

Gary - We have certified cars that were under restoration, as long as they are assembled as a car. The certification is issued to the owner and the car and represents a point in time. We do not know, on any car, what happens after do the pre-certification checks.

I believe the term CERTIFICATION is for one particular moment in time. I have been told not to bring any incomplete restoration in for certification. Reason is an owner can "change" many things and still have a certified car. Jim Obrien is the person you need to ask this question of colors because he is the chief of certifications.

When a car is certified does the process include the color the car was painted when it left the factory?  Just curious. Thanks, Pete
