Classic Car Club of America Caravan 1957 was created by Terry Cockerell
Quite a few years ago I came across an historic film taken in 1957 during a CCCA Caravan on You Tube. The road trip was 1,300 miles long and started in West Nyack near New York and ended up in Milwaukie. The best part was seeing my Cord glide across the screen. It's the two tone Westchester with the grey body and dark blue fenders. At the time it was owned and driven by Bill Horning of Waterdown , Ontario. Watching more closely you can see the car a few more times in the film. There were also a heap of other American classic cars in the convoy.
Today I came across another historic film showing the same event from different angles and sure enough the two tone Westchester can be seen a few more times. Attached are copies of the films.
Back in those days "gas" was provided free. No wonder they call it the good old days and they were, just look at the people and their families..
Enjoy.
