Howard Mason bought the car from the original owner in 1952. There is a good article about his car in the April 1983 issue of Special Interest Autos #74.

I am not familiar with this Auburn. It appears to be a very sound example. Is this an original automobile or an "older restoration"? You are right, David K , these are pretty rare in the coupe body style. Thanks for your post. Jack Richards.
