Thanks Steve, I remember it being in the ACD museum around 80-81 when I was working there. (sorry, not a fan of European coachwork <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? --> ) Others were ga-ga about it, and it was a nice car, but not me.

B.t.w. I have learned that T. Power is the father of Romina Power, in europe she was (together with her former husband Albano) a very popular singer with serveral No. 1 Chart-Hits in the early 1980ies

Hello,

I looks like there are very few Model J's offered at the Monterey auction circus in August.

one 1929 Murphy Conv. Sedan @Gooding http://www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1929-d ... e-sedan-2/

and Mecum starts a new attempt to sell the Powers Duesey

Thats it so far...

Cheers

IS that car J391? I saw it in the ACD Museum sitting in the back and some one had tried to jack it up by placing the jack under the running board.
This one looks different to me,maybe the trunk.

Does anyone have any close-up photos of that side mounted horn on J173 which is being auctioned at Pebble? Is it a Klaxon K-22, with a different mounting? Thank you. bob

Hello Bob,

the car @Gooding auction is (as Randy posted) J-173, looks like that car is a (almost unrestored?) survivor.

The ex T. Powers car @Mecum is J-391

That car looked in the past different to today, in the time of T. Powers ownership it has a darker paint and no roof-top folded "on deck".

I saw a black and white picture of that car only with a kind of persenning that covered a "gap" (rooftop compartment?) between the rear seats and the trunk. In that days the car maybe has had a hidden roof-top folded in a compartment or there was no roof-top installed... I don't know.

EDIT: It has had a persenning, instead a folded roof-top, as you can see on the fabulous Duesenberg-Site of Jack Curtright
