Why is the car so different in the original post than in the auction in '08?

I have a little additional information about J-395, for the files <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

During the time the car was part of the Imperial Palace Collection in Las Vegas. It was shipped to Germany for some few months in 1995/1996. The car was, together with another four I.P. Collection Model J Dueseys, displayed at the "Auto & Technik MUSEUM SINSHEIM" http://sinsheim.technik-museum.de/ That museum is one of the best european museum for technical issues.
Beside a huge car-collection there is a vast amount of tanks, war and civil aircrafts (e.G. Concorde, Russian "Concorde" TU144, Russian "Space Shuttle" Buran a.s.o.) and technical items of any kind.

I would say it must be one of the earlier cars (no hood ornament, the radiator shell without shutters..)
