With the certification of the cars having been used for purposes other than what the club intended, such as to inflate pricing, and in some cases applied erroneously, the club is trying to maintain a lower profile on the certification these days. A category 1 car was one that hadn't been monkeyed around with, i.e. original chassis, body, major mechanicals.

I'm not certain but as I recall Level 1 meant that everything on the car was original Duesenberg (even if all the parts did not originally begin on that particular car).

So yes, I imagine this would be an ACD Level 1 car.

Thanks Chris, Thats interesting.
That car is listed in the fall of '96 Kruse auction as "ACD Level One Certified". I know that they do not have different levels of certification any more, but was level 1 achievable with a body swap?
It also claims a 1957 restoration. I wonder if it has been re-restored since 1957?

J-132/2154, with body #830 from J-144/2175 (plus rear fenders off another car). J-132 originally had a Derham sedan body.

This is another non-disappearing-top car.
