For what its worth, I was talking about the black & silver car in the first post, not the "32 Ford" painted up like Al Ferrara's car.

I'll skip on it then. The only MG I ever got inside, I got stuck in. <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt=":oops:" title="Embarassed" /><!-- s:oops: -->

Too much for me, anyone else noticed from the windshield, door panels, door handles and especially the top, that a lot of this is old VW Beetle? Guess that's not such a bad thing, the old Beetles were well made.

I have noticed a lot of the faux classics over the years have used MG Midget /Sprite tubs.

That Ford is in my neighborhood, Volo car museum. I was thinking about taking a look-see one of these days. Looks well made.

I like the hot rod! :D And I don't often say that about things that try to look like Duesenbergs...

I imagine bids on the first car would have been higher had he bothered to dust it off first...

Here is a link to a car on ebay that I think is quite striking.

Sorry I can't seem to get the image to post directly.

The Buy It Now price is gone and the bidding is at $30,100.00 as of Friday morning. Sounds more like it. I have no idea what their reserve is.

Mark, if you EDIT your original message, you can see how I added the photo directly from ebay. Notice the IMG tags surrounding their picture.

Nice looking car.

I ran across one of the Royalton cars awhile back at a Saturday morning hot rod show here in So Cal. It was a red/black dual cowl, and when I first caught sight of it, from a distance, I thought it was the real mc coy. As I got closer the coil spring front suspension gave the car away but it was a beautifully executed reproduction as far as the overall size and look of the car, it was quite magnificent. The "buy it now" price on this car seems to be a stretch at $275k.
