James,
I currently have three Corvair's. Two Greenbriers, and a '65 Corsa Coupe. I'm looking for a '33 Auburn 8-105 Brougham.

I've been crazy about ACD cars since I was a kid, but only recently have gotten to a point in life I can consider buying an Auburn. I've also written two Corvair technical manuals, and co-authored the historical text Black Gold to Bluegrass. I wrote a short article on J-461 this should be in next weeks issue of Old Cars Weekly.

It would be great to see you cars sometime.
Greg

I noticed that you are in Cleveland, Texas. I am James Bartlett, an ACD Club member who lives in Houston. I own a '35 Auburn S/C convertible sedan and a '29 Packard roadster, among others. What cars do you have?

Does anyone have information on J-461 (Car #2490)? I understand it originally had a LaGrande Phaeton body, but was changed to a Murphy disappearing top Convertible Coupe after an accident in 1935. The car is going to be auctioned in Houston on December 8th. I'm very interested in the early history and original owner. I'll post some pictures shortly.
