We are on tour this week with the Farm Boys in Auburn. Jack and Luci Laughlin planned this tour. Tom & Kay Metzler are touring with this group as well. There are about 37 cars/ 75 people. Cars on this tour are between 1929 to 1969. We drove the L29 Cord to this meet.

Tonight was the opening banquet at Eckhart Park. Tomorrow we travel to Lake Wawasee for a luncheon cruise then to Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. Also planned for the week are tours to the Buffalo (Bison) Preserve, and the Formula Boat factory. We will have ice cream stops and plenty of time for shopping and touring the local museums. It should be a great tour, I'll post pictures.

These are just a few of the cars on the tour today. We went for a boat trip today on Lake Wawasee and then traveled to an animal sanctuary. Tonight we had a pizza party. It was a beautiful day for touring. Tonight?s party was a great time for all. I forgot to bring my camera on the tour today. Although I took a few people shots at the pizza party, I didn't think the people would appreciate them being published ...

Today we drove the scenic roads to Angola. We passed many corn and soybean fields. Most of the corn is well over knee high. We passed a round barn and a smiley face water tower. Once in Angola we walked through the many antique stores and shopped. Lunch was at Potawatomie Inn Resort and conference center on the beautiful Lake James. We leisurely strolled the grounds then drove to Fremont, IN and visited the ?Buffalo? farms where we had guided/narrated ride through the center of a 200 head herd of American Bison. Our tour home included an ice cream stop, however we had to detour and set the Garmin for our hotel. We had about two minutes of rain today, not enough to get wet or put the top up. We had more guests from Auburn stop by our hospitality suite to visit with us.

Today was the last day of our tour. It was very warm and humid traveling today. The weather has been forecasting rain all week. This morning we drove to Monroeville for a coffee break then on to Decatur and toured Formula by Thunderbird boat production facility. After our tour we had lunch in town and drove back to Auburn for Ice Cream. There was free time to explore the many museums in Auburn. For dinner a pleasant drive to Spencerville Covered Bridge was scheduled. The rain held off most of the day. As we approached Auburn for our Ice Cream stop the sky looked ugly and black. We made it to Grandpa's Ice Cream in time to put our top up and get inside before the rain let loose. As we finished our dessert, the rain let up. It was clear and the temperature dropped to comfortable in time for our drive to the bridge. Our catered dinner on the bridge was lovely. Most of our fellow tourers left for home after the dinner. Those that were left met in the hospitality room and swapped stories. We said our goodbyes until we meet again on the road.

We leave in the morning for the last past of our tour....home!

This morning we said goodbyes to our friends that were left and packed up for the trip home. The drive home was uneventful. We got home today in time to go to lunch with our son. Although it predicted rain we didn't get any on our trip home.
