We left late this morning because we were messing around with the Garmin. Apparently the charger is no longer working. and we therefore opted to drive the turnpike. We have an atlas with us, but that is less than desirable when trying to read a map while going down the highway in an open car. We will move to the smaller highways in the morning. We know the way home from here.

There wasn?t much to see traveling on the turnpike. I have a couple photos of the better barns, a clear-cut tree area, and another of a typical view.

We ended our driving around six just southwest of Cleveland. It was warm traveling today. Looking forward to being home again.

Hi,

I have throughly enjoyed your pictures and narratives. Thank you for them~!

As for the Turnpike, how SWEET to have a classic car that can happily handle today's turnpike speeds! No place for a Model T, Model A, or a REO.

Thanks for following! It rained last night. Hopefully that will cool things down a bit. We are traveling familiar side roads the rest of the way home. We feel a bit of a hazard even though we are traveling 60 - 65 on the turnpike. People come along side us, slow down and take pictures, backing up traffic behind them. Sometimes its a bit scary.

Our Garmin was working again, but we drove familiar roads just to be safe. There were many farmers out in their fields. The weather was pleasant, not as hot as Monday. We stopped at Fremont Automotive. They have rebuilt many engines for club members. We stopped at Engler Printing. Jay is a PNP and has done the newsletter and printing for the club for 30 years. After lunch we continue toward home. As we arrived in Michigan, the skies darkened. We discussed putting the top up, but no, we had to wait until the sky opened up and drenched us. Then we found a gas station with a canopy and put the top up, only to have the rain stop. Oh well, we are getting better at putting the top up on the speedster now! We continued home with the top up. We drove about 3000 miles on this trip.

Home at last. The grass is a foot high. My computer modem and router quit. Lots to do before our next trip...
