Jack my 810 Cord was sold out of the Bay St building on April 9th 1936. I don't know what time of day it was but is was a Thursday and a great day no doubt for the first owner Amos Mason from Acton Ontario.

Hello Jack, you are forgiven. The huge sign outside the Younge St premises was relocated to Bay St where there was a lot more space to display the cars. The Young St building still exists however the Bay St building has long gone.Hope all is good with you and Leslie.
Cheers,
Terry

Hi Richard, I spoke off the top of my head. The top of my head is quite often wrong. I stand corrected, it should be Phaeton Sedan as Richard and Randy say.

Randy, do you think the correct name is Cord Phaeton Sedan as shown in the brochure?

Further to the above post I believe Terry Cockerell is correct that the first photo image of an L-29 Convertible Sedan is taken in front of the O'Donnell Mackie agency in Toronto but the sales literature image submitted by Richard Lambert was I suspect captured in California. Please have access to an article printed in the factory publication THE AUBURN by C. J. deGovia and titled "The 1929 Caravan" which recounts the amazing 7000 mile journey in March
of 1929. I believe this is available in the archives of the museum. Great history.

Terry Cockerell , I must respectfully disagree with your opinion as to locsation of this L-29 photograph. The tropical foliage of plants in the background would not be consistent with the climate in Toronto , Canada. My guess is that the photo was one of many taken in California when the fleet of initial L-29s were road tested by a round trip from Auburn to Cord's home in California. Best Regards, Jack Richards in Missouri, USA.
