While rebuilding my "cv"joints, ( I don't feel that these are true cv joints) I decided to drill the spot welds which cover the bores in the boxes to clean out the rock hard grease which was clogging the lubrication passages. On the drivers side joint, I discovered a box which was not properly bored causing one end of the press in pin to not to lubricate. This particular axle had at one time catastrophicly failed. Has anyone run across one of these defective boxes before?
