Rob,
While I'm at it I will strongly encourage you to join our great club and be among many owners of L-29 Cords. Our newsletter also frequently has tech articles that you would find helpful, among other excellent content. You can join by following this link:

We have also digitized several decades of our newsletters from the beginning in 1952 through 2009. You can search via keywords for any content you would like. You can order this and other club items here:

The publication that Justin suggested has the information to adjust the carb. and much more the owner of a L-29 should have. The SX 437 carb. was used for the big bore cars as I recal, and I am not aware of any info. on that carb. specificly. The SX 437 functions the same as the SX 411. The idle adjustments are just on the bottom of the carb. All info. I have seen relates to the SX 411.

You might try Jon Hardgrove from The Carburetor Shop. I purchased a rebuild kit for my '30 Auburn - Schebler UX51. His phone is: 573-392-7378. They have a website:

1930 Cord L-29, Schebler Carb, Duplex Model "S" (SX 437).
Does anyone know where I might be able to find exploded diagrams and adjustment details?
I understand they are in the "Master Cord Parts" books, but I can't find any leads as to where I might find these.
I also could use the same for a 1928 Gadiner, same carb, but model SX 356, that's what's on the car right now........
Any suggestions would be a real help.
Thanks!
Rob.
