I wonder how long it will be before we stop calling a car that Jean Harlow never even laid eyes on "The Harlow Car". (Yeah, yeah. "historians" can be a pain! :) )

I am not positive about the top , but I do not think it has one, and the chassis has been shortened by I 18 inches if I remember correctly.
But if you look in the ACD book by Don Butler you will it is the same as that one.
My 2 Cents

Not near as well proportioned as Phil Wright's design. Shortening the chassis made the rear section look out of proportion in my opinion. I notice there is no pictures with the top up!

Didn't the Harlow car have the chronograph dead center on the dash?

This L-29 was built like the Otto speedster that you will find in the book Auburn Cord Duesenberg, by Don Butler.
I have sat in this car, they did a great job building it, and is done to very high quality.
I would like to see them bring it Auburn this year.

Interesting. It looks a lot like the body on Ed Lucas's Duesenberg.

When I tried to find the picture I stumbled on to the entire story of the car. It's a recreation of the la Grande speedster which I believe is a different car then the l29 speedster we commonly refer to as the Harlow speedster.

I saw this and thought it was cool. Does anyone know the story behind it?
