Tim, there really was no choice in whitewalls as they tended to be "double or nothing" - at least with all the mainstream brands and the bulk of the smaller brands too. some of the smaller brands like Dayton Thoroughbreds actually even had fancier patter double whitewalls than a goodyear or a Firestone - the best as to fancy tend to be Fall Cords/Vogue.

If you're looking at the passenger side window, I think it maybe something in the street behind the car that looks like it is attached to the car but I believe it maybe a trash can or something else. I would think if it were wind wings or traffic indicators you would see them more clearly on the drivers side
