I would like to have more information about this picture. I think it is one of the coolest pictures in the Archive.

I'm going to guess Manilla WWII. The American in the lead car sure looks like MacArthur although I don't see the stars on his lapels that he normally would have been wearing.

Their faces kind of look like it - but you can see his other hand on his waist. How many Cords were exported to the Philipines as right hand drive?

Gentlemen:
Because the flag displayed on the front bumper license plate bracket
is that of Nationalist China , I suggest this may have been a parade in
celebration of victory in the streets of Hong Kong or Shanghai. The two
asian officers standing in back seat appear to be Chinese and the other
person, a caucasian military officer , may well be British , not American.
Come on you WWII veterans and scholars, help us out. Thanks.
Sincerely, Jonathan Richards at Red Oak, Iowa aka <a href="mailto:[email protected]][email protected][/url]

Ahhh my bad - I saw the sun and immediately Manilla popped into my head due to the sun on their flag as well. Were a bunch of Cords exported to China?
