Terry here is some pictures of my modified rocker arms. Am not sure but I believe the cam followers were the bushing type bearings where mine are now a roller needle bearing follower. But the shaft end is still the bushing type bearing for support. I know my modification was done sometime in the 1961 time frame and not exactly sure of it. I know the tappet adjuster was ground as was every valve end. I recall someone mentioned Porsche adjusters could be made to work better than the originals too.

Terry, There is actually less pressure drop. You are no longer feeding 15 bushings (cam followers). The needle bearing us splash lubrication.

Thanks Jim but I think I can get most of that work done in Australia.
The exchange rate plus shipping usually doubles the US price.
One question I have with using needle rollers is "Does this cause more of a pressure drop in the lubrication system compared to the original plain bushes?"

Terry,
Send your old rockers and shafts to George. He rebuilds them with the needle bearing followers, rechromed the shafts, etc. When they come back they are ready to install. He does very nice work!

Cam Shaft Follower "Rollers & Pins" REQUIRED. was created by Terry Cockerell
Can anybody direct me to a good supplier of cam shaft follower "Rollers & Pins"?
I know EGGE can , eventually supply them but I am reluctant to deal with them again after they sent a set of Cord pistons with the gudgeon pins holes 1/4" lower than required. No apologies , business as usual, send them back.
