Tom.
May I suggest that you get a copy of the Cord 810 812 Service Manual from the Museum in Auburn. It has a huge amount of useful information on our beloved Cords.
From the book the Factory recommended clearances are as follows:
Main bearings 0.0015" to 0.00375"
Thrust bearing side clearance 0.004" to 0.009"
Connecting rod bearings 0.001" to 0.0015"

Hello Tom, I do not own a Cord though the nominal clearance for babbitt big end bearings around the size of your cord crankshaft is around 0.0015" to 0.003" As Mike highlighted there is a difference between the clearance for the Main bearings which is is around 0.002 " to .00325" these age general engineering clearances, I am sure one of our Cord members will give you the recommended factory cord clearances.

What is the appropriate clearance between the crankshaft rod throws and and connecting rod bearing? Thanks, Tom
