Good afternoon, My Cord is a Sedan with engine number FB 1769. For the history that I raised it is one of the only Cords exported to Brazil in 1937. Attached photo of the car.

Other info: car was in Minnesota in 2014, no owner name. Serial number plate of 2386F was for sale on EBay in 2005. I’m also showing the original engine number was FB 1478; current engine is FB 239. Central Manufacturing body number was C 92 128.
I hope this helps.

Your photo shows the stamp on the frame, called the “unit number.”
Add 1000 to the unit number to get the serial number, or 2386. If you have the serial plate, then 2386 should be there along with the engine number.
The only car I show with a 2386 serial number is a 1936 Convertible Coupe (two seatconvertible). Is this what you have?

Is your Cord an 810 or an 812 ?
My Cord is the 810 with Serial No 810 1586 A that you referred to, however it is located in Australia but was originally sold in Canada.
Jack Richards in Missouri will be able to help you with the identification.

Cord chassi 1386 information was created by fleibel
Good Morning, I'm trying to find the data for my Cord model and year. We found the inscription on the chassis but we are unsure whether it is printed 1586 or 1386. I already have the information that the 1586 chassis car is in Canada and I even read an article on the web about it. Based on that, I believe mine is 1386. Any body have access to the book with the records and could search for 1386 data? I send an attached photo of the chassis. Thank you very much in advance
