Thanks Jack, it's nice to know just how special my own Cord is. Actually all Cords are special but mine is just a bit more special than normal special.

Terry , I have no information about ownership of the Wat Adams Cord prior to 1953. Suggest you contact Cord Historian Ron Irwin as he sometimes has his own handwritten notes .
It is quite rare to have original owner information on Cord Models 810/812.

Jack, is there anything known about the ownership prior to 1953?
From the records that you have how rare is it to know the original owner of 810 812 Cords?

Thanks for posting this information Brian.
I had assumed that it would have had an earlier Serial Number.

Thanks for the data. According to the Master Cord List of historian Ron Irwin it appears likely that M. Adams acquired this Cord in 1953. The Engineering Change Notes suggests that manufacture date was likely mid July 1936. It is thus a pretty late Model 810.

Yes I know, I do a fair amount of restoration work on various cars regularly, I really enjoy the work, it does take a lot of time, i'm looking forward to doing more work on the Cords. I enjoy talking to Stan and Mark Clayton. I can imagine that it is tough to obtain parts and services in Australia related to old cars, I will be looking at the Wat Adams car in the next couple days.

Wonderful news Brian. Restoring a Cord does take a huge effort as I have found. The problem here in Australia is that you have to keep reinventing the wheel as Cords are so rare . Thank God for the Internet and the ACD Club's helpful members.
Have you checked the Serial Number yet ???

I'm glad to say it is completely together as when Wat had it, and it is not rusted.
But it does need a complete restoration, I'm getting very anxious to start working on it, probably towards the end of this year. I look forward to making it a good driver and driving it to Auburn within the next couple years.

Wat Adams' Westchester was created by Terry Cockerell
I am looking for information on the Westchester formerly owned by Wat Adams.
This car was white or a very light colour in the 1950s
I would like to know if it still exists and its Serial Number.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Terry Cockerell
