Phaeton quarter window hinge color

Was the phaeton quarter panel hinge (which is cast iron) and the bracket that it attaches to (which is cast aluminum) originally painted body color as in the attached photo? Or possibly was the bracket was left in natural aluminum??? And maybe the hinge was black rather than body color???
