I think you estimates for restoration costs are "hopeful" I started with a good driver before starting the current restoration. The car had been in constant use up until the late 1970s and patched up along the way. Getting the body back in good order and painting it set me back $57,500 Aust. I am doing everything that I can myself as ther are NO Cord specialists here in Australia. They are great cars and drive like a dream when looked after properly.
Cord sedans are much more practical cars than the rag tops. I am looking forward to many miles of pleasure in the not too distant future when it is back on the road. There has to be somebody out there who would be ready to take the Beverly on listed on Ebay. All I can say is go for it. Everything you need for them is in America and you don't have to worry about exchange rates.

There are many reasons for this, but mainly, "we" are getting older, and younger folks are NOT interested in tackling a multi year, expensive restoration.

Both Ron Irwin and Henry Portz told be around 60 to 65% of the 810 812 Cords had survived.
800 equates to 27% which is way down on the previous estimate.
The 2017 - 2018 Directory lists around 620
I think Westchesters just became a lot rarer than I had previously realised.
Thanks,
Terry.

In the past 12 years since I bought mine and joined the Club they have kept popping up but the "supply" must be dwindling.
One is more that enough to concentrate on.

I noticed that too but why is this car in such great condition? Engine turns over..Maybe the owner could not find anyone to keep the trans shifting so it was parked and a conversion to manual shift was started....But never finished. Maybe Ron Irwin may know something bout this carbalinwire wrote: Look at exhaust pipes to see original clamps and asbestos insulation 1/2 shells. This has not been messed with much.
