Production Cords all had the same design bumper. The bumper with the hole in them was made in 1966 for the 8/10s Cord and used as replacement parts for other Cords after that date. R

Terry... The pictured Cord you posted can't be correct for many reasons. Best information I have is no 1936 cars had a supercharger so this car... Being supercharged and a Beverly MUST be a 1937 car. Therefore it can't have these 810 bumpers. That might be what the owner was talking about the judging. This is a stunning looking car no matter what it is.

Randy this is a revelation for 810 Cords. I was under the impression that all Cords had the same type of "Bumper Guards"
The Part Number for these items is N11158 this same item is listed as an Accessory with a list price of $5.00
I did see a Custom Series Cord in Auburn in 2015 that had the bumper guards fitted with one bolt through the bumpers and figured this was not original. Attached is a picture of the front of that same car. Note that the bumper guards are not set symmetrically. The owner was told that the bumper guards were not fitted correctly by the judges.
So were early Cords fitted with one bolt bumper guards and late production cars fitted with the clamp and two bolts??
I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks,
Terry

Randy, They're really tired. You can have them for the cost of packing and shipping.

Well, as much as I hate to part with anything Cord related It looks like these will be relegated to the scrap heap. One is in relatively good shape but the other two are in need of tlc, plating that is.
Think I'll offer them up on the Flea Market for the cost of shipping.

I've never seen this before. Could this have been a different way to mount fog lights or turn signal indicators? Will be following this.

hole in bumper was created by wcoye
I was gifted these three bumper parts. The first front bumper part has a 1/2" hole in it. The rusted out rear bumper part has a 3/8 hole in it. Neither hole looks like it was drilled after market. Actually, they look punched. I don't see these in my bumpers. Is this some alternate method for attaching bumperettes , or?
