Trunk Spring was created by pac32
I am looking for a Trunk spring for my 37 Beverly. This is the trunk support spring for the support latch. I have tried Auburn Cord and they do not have it. Is there a substitute out there?

Try "Restoration Specialities" their catalogue is online.
They are a good source of a huge range of items.

When I was reading this posting yesterday I decided to take a look at my spring.Sure enough mine is broken in the same place as this one. So I also need a spring. I tried to remove my broken spring..... Interesting how they are held in place. The center is really had some metal forced into the end. The long end under the pin has been crushed down on one side to keep the end firmly in place. This will be fun.

if you have an extra window regulator with a double coil spring, remove the spring , cut the extra coil off and bend the end for the hook. Works great.
I have an extra.

Thanks for the lead on the spring on ebay, I bought one and will give it a try. My trunk support spring broke last year in New Zealand, the only thing that broke on the car in 2,000 miles of driving on the islands. Not bad for a Cord.
