solid idea. putting the signals out to the bumper edge could also make good side markers (if the are wired as parking lamps).

Greetings, Michael: The solutions for German compliant turn signals is clever as reflected in your Post Nos. 36234 & 35 on this thread. Great to see photo images of the ex-Glenn Pray Westchester. Merry Christmas from me to you, Jack Richards in Missouri, USA.

and this is what I did: removed the bolts on the bumper ends and replaced tem with a threaded pipe used for making lamps. The 5/16 UNF thread of the motorcycle turn-signals could easily be machined in the M10x1 pipe. With some stainless and chromed brass shims it looks quite classic and can easily be removed if exhibition or filming requires the status of 1936.

I don´t think that this will work for the german tchnical inspection. It has to be a permanent fixed system with hazard light funktion. And on a car with hidden headlights, hidden door hinges and even hidden radio aerial you have to be very carefull adding some lamps to the design.

You can purchase a new turn signal light system that is not hard wired at all. Its all done by a remote signal. Sorry I do not know the name of the system or the maker.

On my 1936 Westchester there are some aftermarket turn signals with very ugly mounting brackets. To get driving permission on german roads there have to be some turn signal lamps. But where should I place them without ruining the styling? Please show me some examples.
