Hubcaps

Gah! I spent an age searching for and a small fortune purchasing a set of four heavy duty wheels to replace my cracked original set. Now I need to hunt down the correct hubcaps. Are sound 37 wheels on my 36 car gonna cost me points?

Hi: The photo you posted of your hupcap and wheel is a bad angle but it looks like the hupcap in the photo is the higher dome for heavy duty wheels.

Can anyone tell us the measurement of these wheel covers? I sure would like to know the low and high domed covers. I will measure my new set I purchased from a seller in Oregon about 3 weeks ago.

My experience is that Cord with heavy duty wheels take the later hupcap (1937) which has a more pronounced dome.
It very easy to see when compared to the earlier flatter dome of the early 1936 caps.

Greeting from a very soggy Raleigh? NC. Somehow we were spared the brunt of the storm. Weather report aside, Upon hearing my judging comments I learned I have a mix of 36 and 37 hubcaps........guess I'm blind cuz I do not see the difference. So help me out. What IS the difference,what am I looking for?
