The problem is finding the person with the film to begin with. This historic film should not be lost but shared.

If the "owner" wont let go of the film maybe they will have a copy made. Then everyone wins and nobody looses...

1955 AVON Meet Missing film was created by Terry Cockerell
While reading old Newsletters I came across a very historic article in No 2, 2001 and on page 7 written by Bob McEwan.
Bob was talking about the first AVON meet in 1955 with 43 cars and 63 members present.
Bob stated that the event had been recorded on 8 mm film with all of the cars and most of the people present in the film.
Bob also went on to say this historic film was in the hands of an ex-member of the ACD Club and that the person refused to hand the film back. I do not believe we should loose this historic film. I have no idea who has the film or if the person referred to in the article is still alive. However somebody out there must know more about this, consequently could you please contact me or other ACD Club officials to find this film and have it preserved ?
With thanks,
Terry Cockerell
